Picnic:
Casuarina Beach is just down the road, offering spectacular picnic spots and colourful sunsets. Here you will find picnic benches and walking trails where you can observe the natural wildlife and plant species, there are abundant quiet spaces to relax and unwind. We have provided an esky, picnic rug and fold up chairs for your convenience.
Bicycles:
We have 2 adults and 2 children's bikes available for your use (subject to availability). Guests can walk, cycle or jog along the Casuarina Beach foreshore, enjoying spectacular views, while experiencing fish and bird life.
Fishing:
There are great fishing spots all along the Casuarina beach, NightCliff Jetty or at the Rapid Creek Bridge. We have a tackle box, fishing reels and beach chairs for your use.
Swimming:
Casuarina swimming pool and Leanyer Water park (FREE) are located nearby; please use the pool towels provided. Oct-May is our "Stinger Season"; it is not advised that you swim in the beaches during these months. June- Sept are cooler months, the Box Jelly-fish have usually left our waters, although you are not advised to swim in the beaches without checking with authorities first, enter the water at your own risk.

The wave pool located at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct is open daily from 10am - 6pm. (Good Friday - closed, Christmas Day - closed).

Open daily with Free admission and life guards patrolling the area until 6pm.
Leanyer Water Park
Leanyer swimming pool, water slides and recreation park provides free, clean, safe and cool fun for kids young and old in Darwin's northern suburban area.
The water facilities are open every day during school holidays and on public holidays and from 10am to 7pm Wednesday to Sunday during the school year. There is no entry charge. |
